GoSakto Promo Matrix

Globe Telecom’s GoSakto Promo for prepaid is gaining wide attention from subscribers in which many claim that it is much more powerful than Globe’s postpaid offerings. The idea is that you get to customize and create your own promo that would fit your budget and needs. You can specify the call minutes, number of texts, data limit, the network where your call and SMS will be valid, and even the validity period. There are a lot of combinations in which we can customize our own promo, and often times, the pattern is inconsistent specially regarding the amount of the promo. … Continue reading

GCash American Express Virtual Card: GCash Levels Up!

I have been using GCash ever since Globe Telecom introduced the service to the public, but never found it too useful at that time. Well, aside from being one of the first services to offer money transfer via mobile (I’m tempted to call it mobile banking but it’s not a bank account), which is cool at that time BTW, there were tons of fees for every transaction, including the┬átransaction fee deducted from your load. But the real strength of GCash was the ability to send money anytime, anywhere, that’s why it was a hit on most Philippine online stores, even … Continue reading

Cherry Mobile Cutie P9

As I was strolling the mall a couple of weeks ago, I noticed a small phone from a Cherry Mobile kiosk. It looked like a cellphone split into two, length-wise. It reminded me of a phone from Samsung years ago, though I don’t know what model it was (Update: some people told me that it was Samsung SCH-U470, though I’m not really sure). The CM phone was a cute one, small indeed, hence the name Cherry Mobile Cutie. It really was a cutie phone about the size of a pocket MP3 player. I was about to ask the attendant on … Continue reading

Watch Out iPhone, Google buys Motorola

As the title says, watch out Apple, Google is about to buy Motorola, so all Motorola bases are belong to Google. On a statement released by Google,┬áMotorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. is being acquired by Google for $12.5 billion as agreed by all the board of directors of both companies. The implications? Well, it is expected to boost Android development and production, directly challenging the mobile market dominated by the iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.). I believe that this action will try to balance the mobile market, preventing monopoly of iOS in the high-end mobile devices by increasing the competition, thus … Continue reading
