5 Centimeters Per Second to be Released on International Blu-ray Version

Good news for Makoto Shinkai fans! Comix Wave Films will release 5 Centimeters Per Second (秒速5センチメートル) on Global Blu-ray version on November 11, 2011. The blu-ray version will contain both Japanese and English audio and will be sold for ¥6,825 or $89.03. It is not directly stated, but I think the English dub used is the newer Bang Zoom! dub and not the ADV dub. Aside from the 2 audio tracks, it also features subtitles in Japanese, English, Korean, Mandarin, Thai, Indonesian, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Arabic, totaling of 11 languages (now that’s what you call “international” version!). It’s just recently that I’ve watched Nestle Philippines’ Kasambuhay Habambuhay Short Film Anthology. I know it’s been almost a month since it premiered, but it’s just recently that I found time to watch them. The Japanese Box-Office Hit anime of 2010, The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi (涼宮ハルヒの消失 Suzumiya Haruhi no Shōshitsu) is now released on Blu-ray and DVD! The much anticipated release date of this anime-with-a-large-cult-followers on video is strategically scheduled to coincide with the plot of the movie which is December 18. One Piece Gets a 3D Movie

The popular manga franchise One Piece is set to have a 3D film. A YouTube video surfaced featuring a trailer of the Pirate-action anime in full 3D with the inclusion of another Weekly Shonen Jump manga, Toriko, which will be also adapted into a 3D film. The films will be released on March 19, 2011, but details are still unknown about the story of the film. Mixed reactions from the fans emerged after viewing the trailer. Akira To Be Raped by Hollywood

AKIRA (アキラ) is a 1988 Japanese animated action film written and directed by Katsuhiro Otomo based on his hit manga. The film is set in a futuristic and post-war city, Neo-Tokyo, in 2019.
